Compassion

I know, I know! Pictures from vacation are coming, but first I wanted to tell you about something that was brought to our attention shortly after we returned home. Luke 12:48 has been on my mind lately. I'm not sure exactly why, but it has been. Josh and I are richly blessed in so many ways, and we probably don't give back as much as we should.

"From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked." ~Luke 12:48

So, when I read MckMama's blog about her trip to Kenya with Compassion International, I asked Josh if we could sponsor a child. I felt immediately that was what we needed to do. He agreed, so we did! We should get our packet in the mail in 2 weeks! :)

I'm blogging today to ask if you would consider sponsoring a child also. $38 per month is NOTHING to most of us, and EVERYTHING to these children. To really put that in context, read her blogs...

If that didn't inspire you to consider sponsoring a child, I don't know what will. PLEASE consider sponsorship...$38 per month...is there something you can give up so you can do it? You might not have the money, and that's okay too. There are other ways you can help...writing letters, etc. I was very moved by reading about her experience with Compassion in Kenya, so I wanted to share with you!
