So, we've made yet another offer on yet another house. The difference being that this time, the house is actually worth what it's priced at. Who knew that we would find somebody in this market who's not greedy?! It does need a little work, but is has fabulous potential. And it has a garden tub in the master bath...what more could a woman want? :) We should know something today, hooray! And for the record, I haven't seen anymore cockroaches since my last post. :)
Yesterday was my last day of my outpatient placement. I start in SNF/NH next week. All of my patients were really sweet, and telling me that they were gonna miss me. A few even brought me goodies. One guy (who usually makes me laugh hysterically at least once per visit) brought me a rock that he claimed to be a healing rock blessed by a Cherokee Indian. Here's the story (keep in mind that I'm holding the rock in my hand through this whole story)...
"When I was little, I was with my grandmother who was a full-blooded Cherokee Indian. I kept having trouble with shin splints, so she took me to see one of her best friends who gave me this healing rock. He told me that it had been blessed and that I was to rub it over my legs when I was having pain. Well, I did, and my pain went away in a few days. When I broke my leg playing football in high school, I used the rock, and I didn't have very much pain while my leg was healing. I want you to have this rock to take with you when you leave here because it really does have healing properties. I know this for a fact, becuase last night my hemorrhoids were flared up, and after rubbing that rock on them for a little while, they completely cleared away!"
I was completely sucked into this story...I thought he was being all sweet at first, but when he got to the part about the hemorrhoids, I threw down the rock. Then we both started laughing. He said, "See, now you'll never forget me." He's right! I probably won't. ;)
By the way, I still have the rock.

The last house we bought was bought for the garden tub. No other reason was needed for me. Dustin and David (our realator) knew me well enough to know that nothing else mattered :)
