Those of you who know Josh probably have an inkling where this is going. When we moved into our house, my garage door didn't have a lightbulb in it that came on when the door opened. About 2 weeks ago I left after dark to run to Walgreens. I just turned on the overhead lights in the garage and left them on so I would have a light when I came home. I'm funny about getting out of my car in the dark...even though Josh was home.
Well, my energy conscious husband called me when I was at Walgreens to remind me that I had left it on and would I please turn it off next time (he also had to tell me something else...this was just his loving aside). I politely reminded him that if he would actually put a lightbulb in my garage door that I wouldn't have to turn on the overhead lights and leave them on at night when I go out. He just said "okay." Being the moron that I am, I thought that was the end of it.
When I got home I realized he had turned off the overhead lights. When I hit the garage door opener, I knew why. I felt like a steam engine was bearing down on me head on. He had replaced my garage door light with an outdoor high power flood light. Seriously, I couldn't even see to pull into the garage it was so bright! It looked just like the headlight of a train! I started laughing so hard that I had to turn my car off in the driveway until I could control myself enough to actually pull it into the garage. When I got inside Josh greated me with "how was the light?" and a big grin. I still couldn't stop laughing. As I'm typing this blog, I keep busting out laughing, and Josh keeps coming back to check on me. :) For those of you who know my husband, I don't think this story will be of any surprise. This is our life, and it certainly never gets boring! :)
For the record, my train light has now been replaced with an appropriate energy efficient bulb.
