I think my husband is pregnant...

So, for all the worry and stress over him being sick from the anesthesia, I really shouldn't have bothered. I might be the one who gets sick. Apparently, he is so well medicated that he now has a stomach of steel...last night he woke up around 8:30 asking for Lucky Charms, chocolate chip cookie dough, and a Mtn Dew. yuck! Well, we didn't have the Lucky Charms, but I obliged him with the other two. A few minutes after putting the cookie dough away he asks, "Do we still have that jar of dill pickles? I sound like I'm pregnant, don't I?"

I just had to laugh. I gave him a pickle spear and told him to take it easy for the rest of the night. (For the record, he did ask me to fry up some bacon around 10:30 last night, but I told him no. He got a pack of Saltines instead. :) This morning he had 6...count 'em...6!...cinnamon rolls for breakfast. For lunch he had two chili-cheese dogs and a bowl of chili and cheese. Now he's napping...and not even queasy...but I am after his menu these past two days!

*I should say thank you very very much to the staff at Memorial Mission Surgery Center here in Chattanooga. I was incredibly impressed with the care we received there (and you know how picky I am!) They took care of Josh and his family the whole time we were there. The anesthesiologist (Dr. Lau) took almost 30 minutes to talk to Josh before surgery and make a medication plan to combat nausea. Obviously, she and her staff followed through with it very well. The excellent care he received there has made our lives so much easier since we've been home!
