Thankful!

I am so thankful that Josh's surgery went better than the MD thought it would! There was some concern about cartilage damage, etc., but turns out he had a torn meniscus and some swelling and THAT'S ALL! His joint surfaces are pristine and his ACL graft from 2004 is in fantastic shape. This is great news! As for the anesthesia, he's felt really good since coming home, but they started phenegran through his IV before the anesthesia, and gave him another dose before they took his IV out. And whether he likes it or not, he's getting another pill every 6 hours as prescribed. :) So far, so good! Thanks for all your prayers! Now, if I could just get him to let me help him, we'd be doing pretty good! He tried to make mac 'n cheese on his own as soon as we got home, then he went downstairs to get a 12 pack of Mtn. Dew, and wouldn't let me, his mom or dad help him...crazy kid! (Since he's on crutches, he actually went to the office, got a backpack, put it on, went downstairs into the garage, put the 12 pack in the backpack and came back upstairs. It was very humorous if I hadn't been so annoyed that he wouldn't let us help him!) Maybe if I keep him doped up on the phenegran, he'll rest a little more. Thanks again for all your prayers!
