Weekend Mischief

Josh finished painting our bedroom on Wednesday night, and I LOVE it! The only things we have left to do in there is replace the floors...and we'll definitely be paying someone to do that for us. :) Here are some pics of our "new" bedroom! All the pics/decorations we've had for a while, so I was glad to only have to buy the curtains.

I thought I'd post a few pics of other stuff around the house. Most of you probably don't care, but you can look anyway. :) That way when you actually do come over it'll already feel like home to you! This is a place setting of my "china." Not actually china b/c I have a few sets from my mom and great aunt. It's Longaberger vintage vine pottery (dishwasher safe!), and it's beautiful! So, it's what I wanted for a nicer set of dishes instead of china. My mother-in-law (Vicki) is helping me build my set...I now have 8 place settings, and several serving pieces. :)

Saturday night we had a few friends over for yummy soup (recipe to come in a later post!) and chili. And, of course, a little guitar hero and catch phrase action. These are the chili bowls (Longaberger, of course!) that Vicki gave me as a happy day present in October. It turned out to be a not so happy day, but that's another story. Anyway, this was the first time I got to use them, so I was really excited about it! :)

The boys would probably tell you that they dominated everything, but it's so NOT TRUE! Guitar Hero was probably a wash, but the ladies totally dominated in catch phrase except for the one time we played the "sports/games" category. And the boys only won by 2 points that game. Good job ladies!
